What size should a Discord custom emoji GIF be?
Custom emoji and many sticker-style uploads are often limited to about 256 KB. That is why 256 KB is the default target here. Exact limits can change with Discord’s plans — use Custom KB if you need another number.
Will my GIF stay animated?
Yes. Compression uses gifsicle (WebAssembly) and keeps frames. If the file is still over your target after lossy compression, we gently resize while preserving the animation.
Do you upload my GIFs?
